After returning back to Athens, Greece from the Erasmus+ Project Eco(logical) Youth in Krushevo, North Macedonia, I realized what a great experience it was and that I gained so much knowledge. From learning about the environment and the protection of it, recycling, upcycling to meeting new amazing people, I realized that I need to share my experience with more people to raise awareness of the Erasmus Plus projects and environmental sustainability. Therefore, I met with friends, where we discussed about the activities of the project and I talked to them about the structure of the program like the debates we had, the sketches, the posters we made, the hike in the mountain, the energizers and generally the morning and the afternoon sessions and the creative ways that included to spread environmental consciousness. Also, many of my friends had the question of how do I find these Erasmus youth exchanges and how can they participate in one, so I showed them the proper links for it and the social media of CET Platform so they can have a better and clearer image of how a project like this looks like and what we did there. Of course I had to mention the fun moments we had all together and what an amazing opportunity it is to meet new people and cultures. Lastly, thanks to the Romanian team and my team that won the quiz they had prepared for us at their intercultural night, I took back home some Romanian beans that they gave us as a prize for winning the quiz so of course I tried them with the my friends! The other day, I organized with my family in the evening a small gathering to inform them about the program I participated and the activities we did there. I showed them in the laptop pictures from the project and informed them about the things we did there, as I did with my friends. We also decided to take an important action in the house and be more careful with recycling and throwing the trash to the proper bin. I believe that after the activities mentioned above, I managed to raise awareness about the environment and the protection of it. I think I definitely motivated my friends to find an Erasmus project that matches their interests and go for it. I hope that after this, there might be a small difference in the world in order to protect our home, the Earth, which is home for animals and plants and for as, humans, as well.
